& Safety Fund of North America, signatory contractors
and Laborers have access to experts and specialists from
the fields of occupational safety and health, public health,
medicine, labor relations, the insurance industry and
the scientific community.
These experts can provide technical assistance site visits,
site safety analyses, surveillance for workers in the
field of hazardous and toxic waste abatement, research
into the epidemiology of occupational disease and injury;
development of comprehensive strategies for participating
health and welfare funds on issues such as health care
cost containment, benefits analysis, preventive medicine;
and specific medical programs geared to members' lifestyles
and occupational needs.
